COVID Secure Guidelines

As you will be aware, all public places have created new rules for visitors to follow for their safety and the safety of others. Please read through this before attending the clinic. If you have any further questions, please let me know.

Social Distancing

Please maintain a 2 metre distance from all other people in the building at all times. The only exception to this is in the treatment room when you are having the acupuncture treatment. Here, direct contact will be made for a few minutes while the acupuncture is being performed.

For social distancing reasons, unless you require assistance for specific support and care needs, we ask you to come alone for the appointment where possible unless a chaperone, parent or carer is required. Please leave accessory items (bags, coats) in the car or in the office, or travel with as little as possible.

Before arrival

If you or someone you live with develops symptoms of Covid-19 by the time of the appointment, please contact me before attending the clinic.

To minimise face to face contact in the clinic I will be conducting all consultations for new and existing patients either online via Zoom or by telephone before the acupuncture appointment.

Entering the clinic

I have spaced out patient arrivals and departures so that all visitors can remain socially distanced. To make this work I ask that you arrive as close to the exact time as possible.

You will be asked to wash or sanitise your hands immediately upon arrival and you must also be wearing a mask. I will also be wearing a mask throughout your time at the clinic.

If you need to sneeze or cough while in the clinic, please do so in a disposable tissue and place in the bin immediately.

During the treatment

Towels will no longer be available so please bring your own towel or a pair of shorts so I can easily access your lower limbs and abdomen if necessary.

Once the needles have been placed and you are comfortable, I will leave the room and return midway to adjust the needles.

Leaving the clinic

Please wash or sanitise your hands on leaving.

After each patient has left the treatment room it will be aired and all surfaces disinfected ready for the next patient.
